This is just a pritty small overview about the nicest beaches at the Mount Pelion.  Always reachable from Kala Nera.

Mylopotamos and Fakistra

Mylopotamos is one of the most photographed beaches of Pelion. Accessible over two paved paths, the
beach -divided into two by an opening curved on the rock- lies in between of blue and green waters.
Fakistra, is a small virgin beach of unique beauty, surrounded by steep rocks. At the north side there is a sea
cave worth to be explored, and a little upwards you can discover a beautiful small church within the rocks,
which used to serve as a “secret school” for the children of the region, during the Turkish occupancy.
Distance: 35 km (Kala Nera-Tsagarada-Mylopotamos)

Plaka, Agios Ioannis, Papa Nero
The beach of Ag.Ioannis with its golden sand is right in front of the village and is the most cosmopolitan one
of Pelion. It’s the place to “see and be seen”!
For those however, who prefer it a little less crowdie: located on the right of Ag.Ioannis is Papa Nero, an enormous white sand beach with aquamarine water.
On the other side of the village, hidden behind the small port, you will find Plaka. This beautiful beach, surrounded by trees reaching the coast, provides shadow even in the afternoon hours.
Distance: 39 km (Kala Nera-Tsagarada-Mouresi-Agios Ioannis)

Damouchari
It is a small idyllic village. Two little bays await you there: the north bay, with its little
harbour, and the south bay, with its marvellous crystal waters and big round white pebbles. It is the perfect
place to relax and enjoy a wonderful dinner in the evening. Small paths connect the village with Papa Nero (easy)and Fakistra (rather hard).
Distance: 38 km (Kala Nera-Tsagarada-Mouresi-Ntamouchari)

Potistika and Melani
Potistika is a gorgeous beach, big in length and in width, covered by coarse sand and colourful small pebbles.
Very impressive are the tall rocks in the sea, from which daring swimmers jump into the blue green sea. Just a few meters away, beyond a small hill and reachable by foot, you will find Melani.
It is a long, untouched by civilization beach for nature lovers and free campers. Sand and rocks alternate.
Distance: 29 km (Kala Nera-Argalasti-Xinovrisi-Potistika)

Mourtias
This beautiful and at the same time impressive beach, with the reddish rocks, scattered
around the sea (the locals call them Loumbarda), is a sight that captures and fascinates visitors. An alternative scenery, which changes colours depending on the sun position. In 2005, this beach was classified as “a beach of exceptional natural beauty”. The coast has a few rocks but also sandy parts. Crystal clear water and small caves complete the picture.
Distance: 40 km (Kala Nera-Argalasti-Lavkos-Promiri-Mourtias)

Limnionas
It is located between the beaches of Milopotamos and Lampinou –connected by small paths - within a small,
virgin and isolated bay. It is a medium sized beach with magical sand and tiny pebbles.
Distance: 27 km (Kala Nera-Xourichti-Limnionas) -Last km only with 4x4 Tip: the caves of Neptune, near the Old Mitzela. It is a cluster of rocks, accessible only by boat, which according to the legend was the base of Neptune in the northern Aegean. You will be enchanted by the mystical atmosphere while the more  adventurous can also try to swim there.
